Give us back the faces of the candidates

I really think this election campaign (duration now too!) And, for the communists, the worst since the Italian Republic was founded. It makes it so very exciting and very interesting I think that depends on this new electoral law recently approved. The new law has, in fact, almost demolished the electoral communication that only a few years ago it was pointed out on the market thanks to Berlusconi's descent into the field. What he brought to the fore, and had given birth to a large group of spin doctors (local and national) ready, with its policy advice, to help anyone who chose to enter into the political arena.

The abolition of single-member districts and the exclusive presence of blocked lists have almost disappeared candidates and their campaign "among the people." And that has certainly benefited the communications market, slowing and softening in the bud. Few spin doctors these days that they beat the streets of the policy, and few means of communication that candidates have used. We also see from the posters that our colleagues, with undisguised sadness, they had to make: a few, are, in fact, those representing the individual candidates. Here and there some big face 6x3 Berlusconi's laughing, a product that seeks to reassure Italians saying it again, a casino that calls for more support for families and Diliberto a little confused, but little else.

And what about the many dinners that they asked us to organize to do fundraising in favor of this or that party, when, then, the guests of the case did nothing but say that they would gave money only if they had known the candidate of the college. Not know if you noticed, but many lists, as well as the symbol of the party bore the names of the leaders of the party itself. And the painful realization of these "face to face? A real contradiction!

Not to mention, then, the increased competition between party and party within the same coalition, which has exacerbated to the nth degree the identity of the party and not more than Coalition: just think of the joke of Calderoli bothering pierced Casini Berlusconi or against the continued differentiation within the center on issues of secularism. And do not even speak of splitting splitting of socialists who now find themselves in almost all political. In short, a real damage for those who, like us, does the spin doctor and works at the side of campaigns of the candidates!

The Mattarellum (with all its faults!) Allowed us communicators, for a good part of the electoral competition (namely the one that took place in the electoral colleges) to achieve an election campaign in the area, forcing the candidate to meet people and confront them and address their concerns. All this, thanks to this unfortunate law, was removed, deleting, in this way, much of the work of spin doctor and making the election itself undemocratic. Now the candidate of Sherpas has become a real list and elected members will vote directly for the governing bodies of the party, sipping the various positions in the list. It 's a real shame! It would not really want to go and vote. I think it appropriate to reform the electoral law, going back to a real majority and single-member constituencies.
